Canadian Scholarship

The Royal Civil Service Commission is pleased to announce the availability of various scholarships in Canada.

The following scholarships may be of interest to candidates who fulfill the eligibility criteria of the Universities in addition to the criteria prescribed by BCSR 2012 for civil servants and the eligibility criteria prescribed by MoLHR for private/corporate candidates:
a) The Canadian Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Scholarships offer funding to Graduate students from Commonwealth countries. These scholarships may cover academic, living and travel expenses.
b) The International Development Research Centre Graduate Student Awards aim to support priority thematic areas of research in international development.
c) Mitacs offers funding through multiple programs for undergraduate students, graduate students, postdoctoral researchers, and faculty members.
d) Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships Program scholars receive C$50,000/year for up to three years towards a Canadian PhD. Candidates interested in a Vanier award are encouraged to contact a Canadian professor to explore potential support for their application.
e) Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships Program  fellows receive C$70,000/year for up to two years of postdoctoral research.
